Political Cartoons

This cartoon was created by Ron Cobb in the year, 1968. In the late 1960s the American people feared that they would be under constant surveillance of the police. Cobbs cartoon explains this. The cartoon is ironic as well, its says that people will no longer have to worry about living in an anarchist country, but instead a country ruled by many more than just one. The Americans will be under constant supervision of the government.

This cartoon was created by Laura Gray.  In the 1050s through the 1960s the Montgomery Bus Boycott was a big deal.  Rosa Parks was the first black who would refuse not to give up her seat for a white man.  This is what tipped off the Boycott.  The bus driver in this cartoon is says that he's not going the way that this man wants, even though it clearly is.

This cartoon is of the My Lai Massacre.  During this massacre, U.S. soldiers killed between 300-500 unarmed Vietnamese Civilians. Most of the victims were women, children, infants, and elderly people. Some of the bodies were found disformed and many women allegedly raped prior to the killings.
